Now and then I’ll share with you some song studies I’ve been working on.

“Bye Bye Blackbird” is a song published in 1926 by the American composer Ray Henderson and lyricist Mort Dixon. It is considered a popular standard and was first recorded by Gene Austin in 1926. It was the No. 16 song of 1926 according to Pop Culture Madness. John Coltrane won the 1981 Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Performance Soloist for his rendition of the song.

Here some versions of the song 🙂

Breakfast with bebop

One of my songs is called Breakfast with Bebop. Its about my former Hamster, his name was bebop and he loved jazz… Hamsters dont live long lives, but it was great fun having him around for a while… I hope you like the song.

Here the lyrics :

Breakfast with bebop
cheers me up in the morning
Its the only way to start my day
It brightens me up and runs without warning

Breakfast with bebop
makes my cornflakes exciting
no need to be bored for its joking away,
with the change of time

Breakfast with bebop
makes me forget the silence
it will juice up the juice
leaving the mess, beginning it fresh

Breakfast with bebop
will stop me feeling tired
as it diddles upspeed
with its tiny little feed…
