Guess this is the year of the podcast… so here is another one I was invited to last month. Very fun to be a special guest together with Ari Hoenig on the 603rd Podcast from Nick Ruffini.
“Normally I get to chat with one amazing musician on the podcast, but this week I was lucky to have a wide-ranging conversation with two of them: Ari Hoenig and Vivienne Aerts. Ari, the world-renowned Jazz drummer, and bandleader is making his second appearance on the podcast alongside his Patreon co-pilot Vivienne, who’s a well-respected musician in her own right. Originally from the Netherlands, vocalist, and songstress, Vivienne Aerts is barely categorizable in genre or style. We talked about Ari’s Patreon and the content we have been creating for it. We give tips for a successful Patreon page, learning and teaching styles, and how to build confidence as a musician.”
For those of you that might not know, I’ve been working with drummer Ari Hoenig for almost 7 years helping him out with marketing, communication, social media, and his Patreon. It’s been an amazing collaboration, and we have around 100 educational videos on his Patreon site. They are about topics ranging from Rhythm Training to arranging, to basic and very very complex drum techniques. As you can imagine as a vocalist I’ve learned so much from shooting and editing these videos. And his Patreon is not only for drummers but for those that want to have a better understanding of basic rhythm, arranging, and composing. So, if you want to learn more about drumming, go check it out: www.patreon.com/arihoenig
Also, if you want to support me on my personal Patreon page where I share about my journey, my music and other projects, check out: www.patreon.com/vivienneaerts or read more about it.
